Epidemiology of Camel Brucellosis Intended for Export from Kassala State – Eastern Sudan

Summary This study was designed to determine the seroprevalence rate of Brucellosis and identify risk factors for Brucella infection in camels intended export from Kassala State. A total 400 blood samples were collected serum all localities, tested using Rose Bengal Plate test (RBPT) Competitive Enzyme Linked Immunosorbent Assay C.ELISA). The prevalence (29.5 %) (27.8%) based on results RBPT C.ELISA respectively. According sex, disease (30.4%) out 335 males (24.6%) 65 females. There no clinical signs camel's animals. (14.4%) Rural KhashmElgerba, (15.3%) North Delta, (8.5%) Wad Elhilau, (11.9%), Hamashkoreb (12.7%), Rustic Arouma (14.4%), Talkook (16.9%) Atbra river locality (5.9%) with a significant statistical difference. Herds more than 20 frequently affected. In this Seroprevalence (9.3 young (1-2 years) (23.7%) adult (above 5 years). present provide status seropositivity State that contribute among camels. situation requires attention effort implement.
